DR REUBEN RAS
DR REUBEN RAS
is a specialist urologist who graduated with an MBChB from the University of Pretoria and completed his master’s degree (MMED in Urology) and Fellowship training at the University of Witwatersrand. Dr Ras has a passion for all spheres of urology, but his special interests are open and endoscopic surgery.
Dr Ras worked as a medical officer at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in the departments of Urology, General surgery, and ICU. He also worked in the Urology department as a medical officer at Helen Joseph Hospital and the General Surgery department at Job Shimankana Tabane Hospital in Rustenburg.
Presently Dr Ras trains urology registrars through the University of Witwatersrand and runs his practice. He is interested in robotic surgery, which he hopes to pursue further.
